Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button until options appear, then tap Power Off.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge and push to pop out the tray.

Heat Back Cover
3 minApply a heat gun or hairdryer to the outer edges of the rear panel for two minutes to soften adhesive.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge, pull up slightly, and insert a plastic pick into the gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick slowly around all four edges of the back panel to separate the adhesive.

Lift Off Back Cover
2 minCarefully lift the rear panel straight off the phone frame and set it aside.

Unscrew Upper Shield
3 minRemove the eleven Phillips screws securing the upper motherboard shield.

Remove Upper Shield
2 minUse a plastic spudger to pry up and detach the upper shield cover.

1 minRemove the single Phillips screw securing the daughterboard to the bottom chassis.

Remove Old Daughterboard
2 minPry the faulty charging port board up from the phone body using a spudger.

Position New Daughterboard
2 minAlign the replacement charging port board into the lower recess of the housing.

Fasten Daughterboard Screw
1 minReinstall the single Phillips screw to secure the new board in place.

Reconnect Coaxial Cable
2 minSnap the antenna coaxial cable head onto the golden connector pin on the new board.

Attach Interconnect Flex
1 minPress the main ribbon cable press-fit connector onto the lower board port.
