   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the tray. Remove the SIM card and tray assembly completely.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply heat along all four edges of the back panel using a heat gun or heating pad for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Slice the rear adhesive

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge, pull upward, and insert an opening pick into the seam. Slide the pick around the edges to cut through the adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the plastic rear panel off the frame and set it aside. Clean off any residual adhesive sticking to the edges of the frame.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom speaker module to the frame.

   Remove the loudspeaker module

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker housing and lever it up to expose the sub-board.

   Disconnect the main interconnect cable

   Pry the main flex press connector straight up from the lower daughterboard using a spudger.

   Disconnect the antenna cable

   Use precision tweezers to lift the coaxial antenna cable head straight up off its socket on the daughterboard.

   Remove the microphone daughterboard

   Gently pry underneath the daughterboard with a plastic spudger to release it from the frame adhesive.

    Transfer the microphone rubber gasket

    Peel the small rubber microphone acoustic seal off the old board using tweezers and place it firmly over the new microphone port.

    Install the new daughterboard

    Set the replacement daughterboard into its slot at the bottom of the frame and press gently until it rests flat.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the coaxial antenna head over its connector socket on the board and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect the interconnect flex cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable connector over the sub-board socket and press firmly until you hear a click.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker housing

    Position the loudspeaker module over the daughterboard and drive in the Phillips #00 screws until snug.

    Apply fresh cover adhesive

    Apply pre-cut replacement adhesive tape along the perimeter lips of the phone frame.

    Seal the back cover

    Align the back cover with the phone frame and press firmly along all edges to secure the adhesive bond.
