   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push gently until the SIM tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the back cover

   Use a heat gun or iOpener to apply moderate heat around the rear panel edges for about two minutes. This softens the factory perimeter adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover. Pull up firmly to create a small gap between the cover and the frame.

   Insert opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam opened by the suction cup. Take care not to insert it too deeply to avoid internal components.

   Slice rear adhesive

   Slide the opening pick slowly around all four edges of the back cover. Reapply heat if the adhesive offers strong resistance.

   Lift back cover

   Carefully tilt up and remove the plastic rear panel from the chassis. Set the rear cover aside in a clean area.

    Pry out old battery

    Clean battery recess

    Wipe the empty battery cavity with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Remove any remaining tape or sticky adhesive residue.

    Apply new adhesive

    Lay down fresh double-sided adhesive strips into the battery compartment. Peel off the protective backing strips.

    Install new battery

    Position the new battery into the housing, ensuring correct orientation for the flex cable. Press down firmly to stick it in place.

    Align the battery flex connector with the socket on the motherboard. Press down gently until you feel a soft snap.
