   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button on the side of the device. Tap 'Power off' on the screen and wait for the phone to completely shut down.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole beside the SIM card tray on the left side of the frame. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on medium setting to warm the perimeter of the back panel for two to three minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the rear cover.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel, near the bottom edge. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a small gap.

    Push a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the glass screen frame and the outer bezel.

    Carefully slide the opening pick around all four edges of the screen to cut through the perimeter adhesive, avoiding deep insertion near flex ribbon paths.

    Remove the damaged screen

    Lift the display assembly off the frame, carefully threading the attached flex cable through the slot in the midframe.

    Clean old adhesive from the frame

    Scrape off residual glue and glass bits from the frame perimeter using tweezers and a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Install the new screen assembly
