Step-by-step

Power down the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely turned off before proceeding.

Remove the back cover
1 minInsert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the notch on the bottom edge of the phone. Pry the flexible back cover off the chassis.

Eject SIM and MicroSD cards
1 minSlide out any installed SIM card or MicroSD card from their respective slots. Store them safely away from your workspace.

Remove midframe screws
4 minUse a precision T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the 20 screws holding the plastic midframe to the phone body.
