Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Remove Back Cover
1 minInsert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the notch near the USB port and pry the back cover off.

Eject Cards
1 minRemove any SIM cards and MicroSD cards from their respective slots on the rear housing.

Remove Midframe Screws
4 minUse a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove all 19 screws securing the internal midframe cover.

3 minInsert a flat spudger under the bottom daughterboard containing the microphone and gently pry it off the adhesive.

Install New Microphone Daughterboard
2 minAlign the replacement microphone daughterboard in the bottom recess and press down lightly to seat the adhesive.

Reconnect Flex and Antenna
2 minSlide the interconnect flex cable into the ZIF lock and snap the coaxial antenna cable onto the board terminal.

Reconnect Battery Cable
1 minAlign and press the battery connector straight down onto the motherboard terminal until it snaps into place.

Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable
2 minHold the midframe near the phone top and reconnect the fingerprint flex cable using tweezers.

Snap Midframe Into Place
2 minLower the midframe assembly and press firmly around the edges until all plastic clips snap shut.

Drive Midframe Screws
4 minReinstall and tighten the 19 T3 Torx screws around the perimeter and center of the midframe.

2 minReinsert your SIM and MicroSD cards, then press the back cover back onto the phone frame.
