Step-by-step

Power Off the Phone

Remove the Back Cover
2 minInsert a plastic opening pick or fingernail into the notch on the bottom edge of the phone. Gently pry up to unclip and remove the back cover.

Eject SIM and MicroSD Cards

Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable
2 minSlightly lift the midframe and use a spudger to disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex connector from the motherboard.

Lift Off the Midframe
1 minRemove the midframe entirely from the phone body once the fingerprint sensor flex cable is detached.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up off its motherboard socket using the flat end of a spudger.

Disconnect Front Camera Flex
2 minLocate the front camera module at the top of the motherboard and detach its flex cable connector with a spudger.

Remove the Front Camera
2 minUse precision tweezers to lift the front camera module out of its recess in the frame.

Install New Front Camera
2 minLower the replacement front camera module into the empty camera housing until sit sits flush.

Attach Front Camera Flex
1 minAlign and press the camera flex connector directly into its motherboard socket until it clicks.

Reconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery connector firmly back into its socket on the motherboard.

Connect Fingerprint Sensor Cable
2 minPosition the midframe close to the device and snap the fingerprint sensor flex cable back onto the motherboard.

Reinstall the Midframe and Screws
4 minSnap the midframe onto the body, then reinstall and tighten all 20 midframe screws securely.

Snap On Back Cover
2 minAlign the back cover over the phone and press around the edges until all clips snap firmly into place.
