Power Down the Device

Locate the Speaker Module
1 minFind the rectangular speaker assembly seated in the top interior section of the midframe housing.

Pry Out the Old Speaker
2 minInsert precision tweezers beneath the speaker module edge. Carefully pry the speaker up to break the light adhesive holding it in place.

Clean the Speaker Contacts
2 minLightly dampen a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and wipe down the spring contact pads on the motherboard.

Install the New Speaker
2 minPosition the replacement speaker module into the midframe recess with the gold contacts facing outward. Press firmly down to secure it.

Reattach the Midframe
3 minAlign the midframe over the main body of the phone. Press firmly around the edges until you hear all side clips snap into position.

Secure the Midframe Screws
3 minReinsert and tighten the ten T5 Torx screws clockwise into the midframe until snug.

Reinstall Cards and Battery
2 minSlide the SIM and microSD cards back into their respective slots, then seat the battery into its compartment.

Snap On the Back Cover
1 minPlace the rear cover over the back of the phone and press around the perimeter until it clicks securely into place.
