   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button on the right side of the device. Tap 'Power off' on the screen to shut down the phone completely.

   Pry Off Back Cover

   Insert a plastic opening tool into the notch at the bottom edge of the phone. Pry upward to unclip the flexible back cover from the body.

   Remove Battery

   Locate the fingernail slot at the top edge of the battery compartment. Lift the removable battery up and out of the phone.

   Extract SIM and MicroSD Cards

   Slide out any SIM cards or microSD cards from their respective slots above the battery bay using your thumb or tweezers.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Use a T4 Torx screwdriver to remove the 9 screws securing the rear plastic midframe to the phone chassis.

   Pry Off Midframe Bezel

   Insert a spudger around the outer edge where the plastic midframe meets the front housing. Gently pop the clips free and lift away the midframe.

   Disconnect Display Flex Cable

   Locate the display zif connector near the top of the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to carefully flip up the locking tab and slide the cable out.

   Unclip Earpiece Speaker

   Use fine-tip tweezers to gently lift the earpiece speaker assembly out of its recess at the top of the phone frame.

   Remove Motherboard Screws

   Remove the two Phillips #00 screws holding the motherboard onto the plastic frame.

    Lift Motherboard Out

    Gently pry up the motherboard from the bottom edge using a spudger. Pull it away from the frame carefully to avoid snagging small components.

    Heat Front Display Glass

    Apply heat evenly across the front screen edges with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

    Apply Suction Cup

    Press a heavy-duty suction cup onto the lower third of the display assembly until it secures a firm seal.

    Slice Adhesive Around Edges

    Pull up gently on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening pick between the glass and frame. Slide the pick around the perimeter to cut the adhesive.

    Remove Old Screen

    Lift the damaged display assembly off the frame, threading the display flex cable carefully through its slot.

    Clean Frame Adhesive

    Scrape away remaining glue from the display frame using a spudger. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Adhesive Strips

    Lay fresh double-sided adhesive strips along the top, bottom, and side bezels of the inner frame. Peel off the protective backing strips.

    Thread Screen Cable Through Frame

    Pass the flex cable of the new display assembly through the frame opening from the front to the back.

    Set New Screen Assembly

    Align the replacement screen carefully with the top and bottom frame edges. Press down firmly around all sides to bond the adhesive.

    Reinstall Motherboard

    Place the motherboard back into the frame top-first. Fasten it securely with the two Phillips #00 screws removed earlier.

    Reconnect Screen Cable

    Insert the display flex cable straight into its motherboard ZIF socket. Push down the plastic locking tab to secure the ribbon in place.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Snap the rear plastic midframe back onto the chassis. Tighten the 9 T4 Torx screws firmly around the housing.

    Insert Battery and Back Cover

    Slide the battery back into its bay with the gold contacts aligned. Snap the back cover firmly onto the phone until all clips engage.
