Step-by-step

Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it.

Heat Rear Cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to heat the edges of the back cover for about two minutes. This softens the adhesive holding the rear panel.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minApply a suction cup to the lower third of the back cover near the bottom edge. Pull up gently on the ring to create a slight gap between the cover and frame.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minInsert a plastic prying tool or opening pick into the small seam created by the suction cup. Do not push the tool in further than 3 mm.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic tool slowly along the bottom, sides, and top edges of the phone. Carefully slice through the perimeter adhesive while maintaining upward tension.

Remove Back Cover
1 minLift the back cover away from the chassis carefully. Set the rear cover aside in a clean location.

Remove Speaker Screws
2 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing to the frame. Keep track of each screw position.

Pry Out Loudspeaker
2 minInsert a flat plastic spudger into the notch at the side of the speaker module. Pry gently upward to unclip and remove the speaker from the bottom assembly.

Insert New Loudspeaker
1 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the lower housing slot. Press down evenly until it snaps securely into place.

Fasten Speaker Screws
2 minReinstall the Phillips screws into the lower loudspeaker module. Tighten them firmly without overtightening to secure the module.

Apply Replacement Adhesive
3 minClean remaining glue from the frame with isopropyl alcohol. Apply new double-sided adhesive strips along the phone's rear perimeter.

Press Back Cover On
2 minAlign the rear cover with the frame edges and lower it into place. Press firmly around all sides to bond the adhesive securely.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minAlign the SIM tray with its slot and push it in flush with the side of the device frame.
