Step-by-step

Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the display.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the left frame and push inward to release it.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply heat to the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower section of the rear cover and pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the seam created between the back panel and the frame.

Slice Edge Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around all four sides of the phone to cut through the perimeter tape.

Remove Rear Panel
1 minGently lift the rear cover off the frame and set it aside.

Unscrew Speaker Module
2 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom loudspeaker housing.

1 minPry up the main ribbon cable connector from the sub-board using the flat edge of a spudger.

1 minUnclip the coaxial antenna cable head from the lower board using precision tweezers.

Pry Up Daughterboard
2 minCarefully pry under the sub-board containing the microphone and lift it out of the lower chassis.

Clean Microphone Port
2 minClear any dust or debris from the microphone channel hole in the frame using compressed air.

Install New Daughterboard
2 minPosition the new sub-board into the lower housing cavity and press it flush into place.

Reconnect Cables
2 minSnap the coaxial antenna and main interconnect flex cable back onto their respective headers.

Reinstall Speaker Cover
2 minPlace the loudspeaker cover over the sub-board and tighten the Phillips screws securely.

Apply Back Cover Adhesive
3 minAlign new precut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter before pressing the rear cover on firmly.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM tray back into the frame slot until it rests flush with the body.
