   Eject SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it completely free.

   Heat Rear Cover

   Apply heat around the edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun on low power for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom of the back panel and lift to create a tiny gap. Insert an opening pick and slice carefully around all four sides.

   Remove Rear Cover

   Lift the rear panel away from the chassis. Clean off any residual adhesive around the frame edges using isopropyl alcohol.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws holding the plastic midframe and housing cover down.

   Unclip Plastic Midframe

   Insert a spudger between the outer display bezel and midframe. Carefully pry along the perimeter to pop the plastic clips free, then lift off the midframe.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Locate the battery flex connector on the motherboard. Pry it straight up with the flat tip of a plastic spudger to cut power.

   Disconnect Volume Flex Cable

   Locate the volume/power flex cable connection near the side of the motherboard. Use a spudger to gently pop the connector off its socket.

   Unstick Volume Flex Assembly

   Use fine-tipped tweezers to carefully peel the volume flex cable membrane off the inside edge of the phone frame.

    Remove Physical Volume Key

    Push the outer volume key gently from the outside inward to release it from the chassis slot, or clear out damaged button contact pads.

    Install Replacement Volume Button

    Slot the replacement physical volume button into the frame recess, ensuring it sits flush and moves smoothly when pressed.

    Adhere New Flex Cable

    Peel the protective backing off the new volume flex cable adhesive strips. Align the contact pads inside the frame and press firmly down.

    Connect Button Flex Cable

    Press the volume button flex cable connector down onto the motherboard motherboard press-socket until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Align the battery flex connector with its motherboard socket and press down firmly to re-establish electrical contact.

    Snap Midframe into Place

    Place the plastic midframe onto the frame assembly and press down firmly around the perimeter until all clips snap tightly.

    Secure Midframe Screws

    Reinstall all Phillips #000 screws into the midframe to lock the internal components into place.

    Seal Rear Cover

    Apply pre-cut adhesive strips or a thin bead of B-7000 glue to the frame rim, then press the back cover firmly onto the device.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush with the outer body.
