   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM ejector tool into the hole on the left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop the tray out and set it aside.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the perimeter of the back panel for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the rear cover.

   Create a pry gap

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up firmly. Insert a plastic opening pick into the seam created.

   Slice the back cover adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all outer edges of the rear panel to cut through the glue. Keep the pick shallow near the right side to avoid damaging flex cables.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear panel off the phone body entirely. Store the panel in a safe, dust-free area.

   Unscrew the motherboard shield

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the plastic motherboard bezel at the top of the device. Keep track of all screws for reassembly.

   Detach the motherboard shield

   Insert the flat edge of a spudger beneath the motherboard shield. Gently pry upward to release the plastic clips and remove the cover.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard using a plastic spudger. Disconnecting the battery prevents accidental short circuits.

    Disconnect the front camera flex

    Locate the front-facing camera module near the top edge of the board. Use a spudger to pop its ribbon connector off the socket.

    Remove the damaged front camera

    Grasp the front camera module using precision tweezers and lift it out of its recessed housing. Clear away any loose debris from the recess.

    Insert the new front camera

    Set the replacement front camera module directly into the sensor recess. Ensure the camera lens aligns centered with the front glass cutout.

    Attach the front camera flex

    Align the press connector over the motherboard socket and press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Press the battery flex connector firmly back down onto its motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Reinstall the motherboard shield

    Position the plastic shield over the upper motherboard and press down to snap it in. Secure all Phillips #000 screws tightly.

    Reseal and reassemble

    Apply new custom adhesive strip along the rear housing perimeter, then press the back panel firmly down. Reinsert the SIM tray.
