Step-by-step

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

Attach suction cup

2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge, then slide a plastic opening pick into the seam.

Slice rear adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick carefully along all four sides of the phone to cut through the adhesive holding the back cover.

Disconnect fingerprint sensor
2 minSlightly lift the rear cover and use a flat spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor flex cable connector off the board.

Remove lower frame screws
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the lower speaker cover assembly in place.

Pry up speaker assembly
2 minInsert the point of a spudger under the notch of the lower speaker assembly and gently lift it out of the chassis.

Clean speaker contact pads
2 minUse tweezers or a lint-free cloth to gently remove any dirt or residue from the metal contact pads on the sub-board.

Install new loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the bottom cavity of the phone frame and snap it into place.

Secure lower frame
3 minReinstall and tighten the Phillips #000 screws into the lower speaker housing until secure.

Reconnect fingerprint sensor
2 minHold the rear cover close to the body and press the fingerprint cable connector straight down into its motherboard socket.

Apply back cover adhesive
3 minPosition fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the inner perimeter of the rear chassis.

Reattach rear panel
2 minAlign the back cover with the phone frame, press firmly along all edges to seal the adhesive, and reinsert the SIM tray.
