   Eject SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it completely.

   Heat Back Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the plastic rear panel.

   Pry Off Back Cover

   Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam between the back cover and frame. Slide along the edges to release the plastic clips and adhesive.

   Unscrew Top Motherboard Bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the upper plastic motherboard bracket. Keep screws organized by location.

   Remove Top Motherboard Bracket

   Gently pry up the motherboard cover using a spudger and lift it off the frame.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use the flat end of a spudger to snap the battery press-connector straight up.

   Unscrew Lower Speaker Enclosure

   Remove the Phillips screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly to the bottom of the frame.

   Remove Speaker Enclosure

   Insert a spudger under the speaker module and lift it out of the phone chassis.

   Disconnect Display Flex Cable

   Locate the display ribbon cable on the lower circuit board. Pry it up carefully with a spudger.

    Heat Front Glass Panel

    Apply heat across the front display edges for 2 minutes to loosen the factory display tape.

    Attach Suction Cup

    Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the cracked front glass to gain leverage.

    Slice Screen Adhesive

    Pull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic pick under the screen bezel. Slice through the adhesive along all four edges.

    Remove Damaged Screen

    Lift the old screen away from the frame while carefully guiding the ribbon cable out through the frame slot.

    Clean Frame Perimeter

    Scrape away remaining glue and glass bits from the frame recessed ledge using a spudger and isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply Screen Adhesive

    Apply thin double-sided adhesive strips or a thin bead of frame adhesive along the cleaned inner frame ledges.

    Route New Display Flex Cable

    Thread the flex ribbon of the replacement screen through the frame slot from the front. Align the screen display flush into the frame.

    Connect Display Ribbon

    Align and press down on the display flex connector until it snaps firmly onto the subboard.

    Reconnect Battery Connector

    Snap the battery ribbon cable connector back onto its motherboard socket.

    Reinstall Speaker Enclosure

    Place the speaker module into the bottom housing and secure it using the Phillips screws.

    Reinstall Upper Motherboard Bracket

    Set the upper protective bracket in place and tighten all retaining Phillips screws.

    Snap On Rear Cover

    Align the plastic back cover over the frame and press firmly around all edges until it snaps securely into place.

    Reinsert SIM Tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until flush.
