   Power off and eject SIM tray

   Turn off the Moto G30 completely to prevent short circuits. Insert a SIM eject tool into the left-side slot and remove the SIM card tray.

   Heat the rear plastic cover

   Apply gentle heat around the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hairdryer for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the plastic panel.

   Slice the rear adhesive perimeter

   Attach a suction cup to the lower back panel and pull up to create a small gap. Insert a plastic opening pick and carefully slice through the adhesive around all four edges.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor flex

   Gently lift the back cover slightly, taking care not to strain the attached ribbon cable. Use fine tweezers to pop the fingerprint sensor flex connector off the motherboard, then set the cover aside.

   Remove motherboard bracket screws

   Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove all visible screws holding down the top plastic motherboard shield. Keep the screws organized by location.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry the plastic top bracket off the frame using a spudger. Immediately disconnect the battery press connector from the motherboard to stop any ongoing electrical corrosion.

   Unplug display and interconnect flexes

   Use a plastic opening tool to disconnect the display flex, main interconnect flex cable, and coaxial antenna cables from the main board.

   Remove the lower speaker assembly

   Unscrew the Phillips screws securing the bottom loudspeaker housing. Pry the speaker box out of the frame to access the daughterboard.

   Extract the main motherboard

   Remove any remaining motherboard mounting screws. Carefully tilt the main board up and lift it out of the chassis.

    Remove the charging daughterboard

    Disconnect the bottom interconnect flex and antenna cables from the sub-board. Pry the daughterboard gently up from its recessed frame slot.

    Submerge boards in isopropyl alcohol

    Place both the motherboard and daughterboard into a shallow container filled with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Let them soak for 5 to 10 minutes to dissolve mineral deposits and displace trapped water.

    Scrub away surface corrosion

    Use a soft-bristle nylon brush to gently scrub away white or green corrosion deposits around board connectors, ICs, and components under magnification.

    Dry all cleaned components

    Blow compressed air across the boards to clear remaining alcohol out from under metal shields. Allow the parts to air-dry completely on a lint-free cloth for at least 30 minutes.

    Reinstall circuit boards

    Place the dried main motherboard and lower daughterboard back into their respective frame housings. Ensure all flex cables rest above the boards.

    Reconnect internal cables

    Snap the display flex, interconnect flex, and antenna cables back into their connectors. Reconnect the battery flex cable last.

    Screw in plastic covers

    Position the bottom speaker module and top motherboard shield in place. Reinstall all saved Phillips screws securely.

    Reseal the back cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint reader cable to the motherboard. Apply new pre-cut adhesive strips to the inner frame edges and press the back cover firmly into place.
