   Power off the Moto G30

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply a warm iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the plastic back cover for two minutes. This softens the adhesive perimeter.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction handle onto the lower section of the back cover. Pull up gently to create a narrow gap between the cover and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup at the bottom edge.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive. Keep the pick depth under 5mm to avoid internal ribbons.

   Pry open the rear cover

   Gently lift the back cover toward the right side like a book. Be careful not to pull on the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Use a spudger to pop the fingerprint reader flex connector straight off the motherboard. Set the back panel aside.

   Remove the speaker housing screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Insert the flat tip of a spudger beneath the top edge of the speaker module and pry upward. Lift the old speaker out of the phone.

    Clean the contact spring pads

    Inspect the gold contact pads on the sub-board inside the lower recess. Clean off any dust or residue using a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.

    Install the new loudspeaker

    Align the replacement speaker module over the lower recess. Press down evenly until it seats flush into the housing.

    Reinstall the speaker cover screws

    Insert and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to hold the loudspeaker housing firmly in place.

    Reconnect the fingerprint flex cable

    Hold the back panel near the phone frame and press the fingerprint reader cable connector directly into its socket on the motherboard.

    Reseal the back cover

    Apply new adhesive strips along the inner frame, align the rear cover, and press firmly around the edges to lock the clips and adhesive.
