Power off the device

Remove the back cover

Remove SIM and SD cards
1 minSlide out any installed SIM cards and microSD card from their respective slots.

Unscrew the rear midframe
4 minUse a T4 Torx screwdriver to remove the 14 screws securing the inner midframe to the phone.

Release the midframe clips
3 minInsert a plastic opening tool into the seam along the edge and slide it around the perimeter to disengage the plastic clips.

Lift and remove the midframe
2 minGently lift the midframe away from the display and motherboard assembly.

Disconnect the battery flex cable
2 minUse a plastic spudger to carefully pry up the battery connector from its socket on the motherboard.

Locate the loudspeaker module
1 minIdentify the speaker assembly situated at the bottom portion of the chassis frame.

Pry out the loudspeaker
2 minInsert tweezers under the edge of the speaker module and gently leverage it out of its recess.

2 minPosition the replacement speaker into the bottom recess and press down firmly to seat the spring contacts.

Reconnect the battery cable

Reattach the rear midframe
4 minPlace the midframe over the assembly, snap the edge clips closed, and reinstall the 14 Torx screws.

Replace the back cover
