Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

Remove the Back Shell
2 minInsert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the notch near the USB port. Gently pry the plastic back cover off the body of the phone.

Remove MicroSD and SIM Cards
2 minUse your thumb to slide out any installed MicroSD card and SIM cards from their respective slots. Store them in a safe place during repair.

Remove Rubber Screw Covers
3 minLocate the small rubber plugs covering screws along the outer perimeter. Use tweezers to carefully pry out each rubber plug.

Unscrew the Midframe
5 minUse a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove all 14 screws securing the midframe frame to the device. Group the screws to keep them organized.

Pry Up the Inner Frame
4 minInsert a flat plastic spudger into the seam between the inner plastic frame and the display assembly. Pry around the edges to release the clips and remove the frame.

Disconnect the Battery Flex Cable
2 minLocate the battery flex connector attached to the top of the logic board. Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the connector straight up from its socket.

Disconnect the Front and Rear Cameras
3 minUse tweezers or a spudger to detach the front and rear camera press connectors. Lift both cameras out of their recesses if transferring them.

Remove Logic Board Retaining Screws
3 minRemove the small Phillips #000 screws anchoring the motherboard to the phone frame. Place screws safely aside.

Lift Out the Logic Board
3 minGently lift the logic board from the top edge, ensuring no flex cables catch on the board edges. Remove the logic board entirely from the frame.

Install Replacement Logic Board
3 minLower the replacement logic board into the display frame assembly. Align the board with the positioning posts and screw holes.

Reconnect Cameras and Display
3 minReinsert the cameras into their sockets and press their connectors firmly into place. Connect the display flex cable back onto the logic board.

Connect the Battery Cable
2 minAlign the battery flex connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Snap Inner Frame into Place
3 minAlign the inner midframe over the body and press down around the perimeter until all plastic clips snap securely shut.

Reinstall All Midframe Screws
5 minInsert and tighten all 14 T3 Torx screws to secure the midframe. Replace the rubber screw covers over their slots.

Reinsert Cards and Back Shell
2 minSlide your SIM and MicroSD cards back into their slots. Press the back shell onto the rear of the phone until it snaps completely flush.
