Step-by-step

Power down the device
1 minPress and hold the power button on the right side of the phone. Tap 'Power off' on the screen and wait for the device to shut down completely.

Remove the back cover
2 minInsert a plastic opening tool into the notch near the micro-USB port. Carefully pry around the edges to unclip and remove the rear shell.

Eject SIM and microSD cards

Apply flux to port pins
2 minApply a small amount of liquid soldering flux onto the charging port solder anchor points and rear data pins.
