   Power Down the Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left edge of the phone and push firmly to pop out the tray.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium heat to warm the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Slice the Back Cover Adhesive

   Press a suction cup onto the lower back panel, pull upward gently, and insert a plastic opening pick into the seam.

   Separate the Back Cover

   Slide the pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive, then lift the back cover off.

   Unscrew the Upper Frame Bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws securing the top motherboard bracket.

   Remove the Upper Frame Bracket

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the top plastic bracket and lift it off the chassis.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Pry the battery press-connector straight up off the motherboard using a plastic spudger to prevent short circuits.

   Disconnect the Display Cable

   Locate the display flex cable on the motherboard and pop its connector free with your spudger.

    Unscrew the Lower Loudspeaker Assembly

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the bottom loudspeaker assembly in place.

    Remove the Lower Loudspeaker Assembly

    Use your spudger to gently lever the speaker module up and out of the lower chassis.

    Heat the Front Screen Assembly

    Apply heat evenly across the front glass bezels for two to three minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Slice the Front Screen Adhesive

    Attach a suction cup to the front glass, pull up to create a gap, and insert an opening pick between the display and outer bezel.

    Remove the Broken Screen

    Slide the pick around the perimeter to cut the glue, then lift the screen while feeding the display cable through the frame opening.

    Clean Old Frame Adhesive

    Scrape residual glue from the metal frame with a spudger and wipe the perimeter clean with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth.

    Apply New Display Adhesive

    Lay double-sided adhesive strips precisely along the inner ledge of the phone frame, trimming excess as needed.

    Install the New Screen Assembly

    Thread the new display flex cable through the slot in the frame and press the screen flat against the adhesive backing.

    Reconnect the Display Cable

    Align the display flex connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Align and press the battery connector onto the motherboard socket until you feel a click.

    Reinstall the Lower Loudspeaker Assembly

    Set the loudspeaker module back into the lower frame and tighten its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall the Upper Frame Bracket

    Position the plastic motherboard shield over the top section and secure it with the reserved Phillips #00 screws.

    Reattach the Back Cover

    Apply fresh adhesive tape along the frame perimeter and press the back cover firmly onto the phone body.

    Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
