   Power Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the frame. Push firmly straight in until the tray ejects, then pull it out.

   Heat the Rear Cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer along the back panel edges for two minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive holding the back cover to the frame.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel. Press down firmly to create a seal against the smooth cover.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the seam.

   Slice the Rear Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the adhesive. Be cautious around the side power button to avoid damaging internal flexes.

   Remove the Rear Cover

   Lift the rear cover straight off the chassis. Set the rear panel aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the Loudspeaker Bracket

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing. Keep track of all removed screws.

   Pry Off the Loudspeaker

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the notch on the speaker housing. Carefully pry up and remove the module from the phone.

    Disconnect the Main Flex Cable

    Use a spudger to pry straight up on the main interconnect ribbon cable connector located on the lower sub-board.

    Disconnect the Antenna Cable

    Grasp the metal head of the coaxial antenna cable with tweezers. Lift straight up to unsnap it from the sub-board.

    Remove the Sub-Board

    Slide a flat spudger under the sub-board containing the microphone and USB port. Gently pry the board up out of the lower chassis.

    Clean the Mic Mesh

    Dip a small nylon brush in isopropyl alcohol and brush out any lint or debris from the microphone hole inside the frame.

    Position the Replacement Sub-Board

    Set the new sub-board into the lower compartment of the frame. Press down lightly until it sits completely flat.

    Reconnect the Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna connector precisely over its sub-board socket. Press down gently until it snaps into place.

    Attach the Interconnect Cable

    Align the main flex ribbon connector over the sub-board port and press firmly until you feel a click.

    Reinstall the Loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker assembly back over the bottom sub-board. Replace and tighten the Phillips screws to secure it.

    Reattach the Rear Panel

    Apply fresh back cover adhesive tape along the phone frame perimeter, then press the back panel firmly onto the chassis.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Align the SIM tray with the slot on the left edge and push it back in until it is flush with the frame.
