   Turn off your Moto G24 Power

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting disassembly.

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the SIM tray slot. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Warm the back cover adhesive

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat around the edges of the rear cover for two minutes. Softening the adhesive makes the back panel easier to remove without cracking.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower third of the rear panel. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a thin gap between the back cover and frame.

   Slice the rear panel adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around the perimeter of the rear cover to cut through all adhesive.

   Lift off the back cover

   Gently lift the plastic back cover off the chassis. Set the back panel aside in a clean workspace.

   Unscrew the midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws holding down the upper midframe shield. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Unclip the midframe bezel

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the edge of the midframe shield. Carefully pry up along the perimeter to release the plastic clips and remove the cover.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Locate the battery flex cable attached to the top right of the motherboard. Use a plastic spudger to pry the press connector straight up out of its socket.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol around the battery

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery compartment. Wait two minutes for the solution to weaken the underlying glue.

    Lever up the battery

    Insert a flat plastic prying tool under the bottom edge of the battery. Slowly pry upward, applying steady force to loosen the adhesive without bending the cell.

    Remove the original battery

    Grasp the battery once the adhesive gives way and lift it out of the phone frame completely. Set the degraded battery aside for proper chemical recycling.

    Clear old battery adhesive

    Peel away any remaining adhesive strips from the battery tray using tweezers. Clean the exposed frame surface with a lint-free wipe dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Install new battery adhesive

    Peel the backing paper off your new adhesive strips and lay them flat inside the battery well. Press firmly to secure the tape to the phone frame.

    Set the replacement battery in place

    Remove the top protective film from the adhesive strips in the battery tray. Position the replacement battery carefully, then press down evenly to secure it.

    Plug in the battery connector

    Align the battery flex connector over its motherboard socket. Press down gently until you feel it snap into position.

    Reattach the midframe bezel

    Place the plastic midframe cover back onto the chassis. Press firmly along the edges until all plastic clips snap into place.

    Fasten the midframe screws

    Reinstall all the Phillips #00 screws into the midframe cover until snug. Do not overtighten to avoid stripping the plastic threads.

    Reseal the back cover

    Apply fresh back cover adhesive tape along the perimeter of the frame. Place the back panel in position and press down firmly along all edges to seal.

    Reinsert the SIM card tray

    Align the SIM card tray with the slot on the side of the phone. Push the tray straight in until it sits flush against the outer frame.
