Step-by-step

Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button until the power menu appears on the screen. Select 'Power off' and wait for the device to shut down completely.

Remove SIM Card Tray

Slice Rear Panel Adhesive
3 minApply a suction handle to the lower rear cover and pull upward to create a slight gap. Slide an opening pick under the plastic shell and work it along all four edges.

Remove Back Cover
1 minLift the plastic back panel straight off the frame and place it aside. Be careful not to bend or snap the plastic panel.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Screws
2 minLocate the Phillips screws holding down the lower speaker enclosure. Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove each screw completely.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert the pointed end of a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing. Pry upward to release the plastic clips and lift the module off.

Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pop the main ribbon cable connector straight up from the bottom daughterboard.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
1 minGently wedge fine-tip tweezers under the head of the coaxial antenna cable. Lever it straight up from its socket on the daughterboard.

Remove Daughterboard Screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips screw securing the sub-board to the internal frame.

Remove Damaged Microphone Board
2 minPry beneath the daughterboard using a spudger to break any remaining adhesive underneath. Lift the board with the integrated primary microphone out of the chassis.

Position Replacement Board
2 minSet the new microphone daughterboard into the bottom slot of the frame, ensuring the USB port and microphone hole align correctly.

Secure Daughterboard Screw
1 minReinsert and tighten the single Phillips screw to anchor the sub-board in place.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
1 minAlign the coaxial antenna head precisely over its board connector. Press down gently until it clicks into place.

1 minAlign the ribbon connector over its socket on the daughterboard and press firmly with your thumb until you feel a snap.
