Step-by-step

Power off the device

Eject the SIM card tray

Install the new daughterboard
2 minAlign the replacement daughterboard with microphone into the bottom cavity and press it flat.

Attach the antenna cables
2 minPress the coaxial antenna connectors carefully onto their matching headers on the new board.

Reconnect the interconnect cable
1 minSnap the main flex cable connector back onto the bottom daughterboard socket.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minPress the battery flex connector firmly back into its socket on the motherboard.

Reinstall the speaker module
2 minSeat the speaker module over the daughterboard and secure it with the Phillips #000 screws.

Seal the back cover
3 minApply fresh back cover adhesive strips along the frame perimeter, then press the cover tightly back into place.
