Power off the phone

Remove the back cover

Eject SIM and microSD cards

Unscrew the midframe
4 minUse a T3 Torx driver to remove the 14 screws securing the inner rear midframe to the chassis.

Pry up the midframe
3 minInsert a plastic spudger into the seam along the edge of the midframe. Carefully work around the perimeter to release the plastic clips.

Remove the midframe cover
1 minLift the midframe straight off the chassis to expose the motherboard and internal assemblies.

Disconnect the battery cable
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to gently pry the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

Pry out the speaker module
2 minInsert precision tweezers under the edge of the speaker module. Carefully pry the speaker module up and remove it from the recess.

Install the new speaker
2 minAlign the replacement speaker module over the recess and press it into place until seated flush. Ensure the contact pads face correctly.

Reconnect the battery cable
1 minAlign the battery connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it clicks into place.

Reattach the midframe cover
2 minPosition the inner midframe onto the device body and press down around all edges until the plastic tabs snap shut.

Secure the midframe screws
4 minReinstall and tighten the 14 T3 Torx screws to lock the midframe back into place.

Reinsert SIM and microSD cards
1 minPush the SIM cards and microSD card back into their original slots until securely seated.
