Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before proceeding.

Remove SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

Heat the Rear Cover

1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the main flex connector straight up from the lower sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Cable
2 minUse precision tweezers to carefully lift the coaxial antenna cable connector off the sub-board header.

Pry Up Microphone Sub-Board
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick under the sub-board assembly and carefully pop it free from the recessed housing.

Position New Sub-Board Assembly
2 minPlace the replacement sub-board containing the integrated primary microphone into the lower frame cutout.

Reconnect Antenna and Interconnect Cables
2 minPress the antenna cable connector into place with tweezers, then snap the main interconnect flex connector onto the sub-board.

Reinstall Speaker Assembly
3 minAlign the loudspeaker housing over the sub-board, press it flat, and tighten the Phillips screws to secure it.

Reseal Back Cover
4 minClean remaining glue with isopropyl alcohol, apply new pre-cut adhesive, and press the back cover firmly onto the frame.
