Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off to completely turn off the device.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it.

Apply Heat to Back Cover
3 minUse a heat gun or heated iOpener along the rear edges for two minutes to soften the adhesive holding the back cover.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and press down firmly to create a seal.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide a plastic opening pick under the back cover.

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the remaining adhesive.

2 minLightly clean the motherboard contact pads inside the housing using a cotton swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

Install New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower housing recess and press down until it sits flush.

3 minReinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to secure the loudspeaker housing in place.
