   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the SIM tray. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer set to low heat along the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the back panel.

   Apply the suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the back cover. Press firmly down to secure a tight vacuum seal.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull up gently on the suction cup while pressing down on the frame edge. Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover. Keep the pick shallow near the middle to avoid damaging internal cables.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the back cover off the main chassis. Set the rear panel aside in a clean, dust-free area.

   Unscrew the upper midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the top protective midframe bracket. Keep the screws organized by position.

   Pry off the upper midframe cover

   Insert a plastic spudger under the notch of the midframe cover. Gently lever and lift it away to expose the motherboard.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket. Never use metal tools on active connectors.

    Disconnect the main interconnect flex cable

    Pry up the main display and daughterboard interconnect flex cable bridging over the battery. Bend the cable gently back out of the way.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol around the battery

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the left and right edges of the battery. Wait two minutes for the solvent to weaken the adhesive.

    Warm the front screen frame

    Turn the phone face-up and apply mild heat to the center display area for one minute. Keep the heat source moving to protect the screen panel.

    Lever out the old battery

    Insert a plastic spudger or rigid plastic card beneath the battery edge. Pry gradually upwards to break the softened adhesive bonds.

    Remove the battery from the housing

    Lift the freed battery straight out of the phone frame. Place the old battery in a fire-safe container.

    Clean residual adhesive

    Use tweezers and a microfiber cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to clear remaining tape and debris from the battery recess.

    Apply new battery adhesive strips

    Peel the backing off new battery adhesive strips and press them flat onto the frame recess. Remove the top protective film.

    Position the new battery

    Align the new battery over the recess and lower it into place without pressing hard. Plug in the cable temporarily to verify correct socket alignment.

    Press battery into place and reconnect flexes

    Firmly press the battery onto the adhesive base. Reconnect both the interconnect flex cable and the battery press connector.

    Reinstall the upper midframe

    Position the plastic midframe shield over the motherboard. Fasten all Phillips #00 screws securely.

    Apply back cover adhesive tape

    Place pre-cut double-sided tape along the outer rim of the phone chassis. Peel off the top film layer.

    Reattach the back cover

    Align the back cover precisely over the frame and press firmly along all edges. Hold pressure for two minutes to establish a tight seal.
