Power Off Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the tray on the left edge and push gently to pop it out.

Heat Rear Cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up firmly to create a seam.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the seam and slide it along the perimeter to separate the adhesive and plastic clips.

Remove Back Cover
1 minLift the rear cover straight up from the frame and set it aside.

Unscrew Upper Bracket
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic motherboard protective cover.

Remove Upper Bracket
2 minInsert a spudger under the motherboard bracket and lift it off the chassis.

Disconnect Battery
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector directly up from its motherboard socket.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
3 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

Pry Up Loudspeaker
2 minSlide a spudger underneath the edge of the loudspeaker housing and gently lift it out of the phone.

Install New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the new loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the frame and press it gently into place.

Secure Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screws to hold the speaker housing firmly in place.

Reconnect Battery
1 minAlign the battery flex cable over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Reinstall Upper Bracket
3 minPlace the upper motherboard shield back over the board and secure it with its original screws.

Reseal Back Cover
3 minApply pre-cut adhesive tape around the frame perimeter, then press the back cover firmly onto the device.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the device until it sits flush.
