Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray, then slide it out completely.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hairdryer on medium heat to warm the outer edges of the back cover for 2 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the rear panel.

Slice the Back Cover Adhesive
4 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up to create a small gap. Slide an opening pick into the seam and cut along the perimeter adhesive.

Unclip the Back Panel
2 minGently pry around all sides using a plastic spudger to disengage the plastic clips. Do not pull the cover completely off yet, as a flex cable remains attached.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Cable
2 minTilt the back panel to access the interior near the power button. Use a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex connector straight up off the motherboard, then remove the back cover.

Unscrew the Midframe Screws

2 minLift the display assembly off the frame while carefully guiding the screen's flex cable through the slot in the frame.

Clean Frame Adhesive Residue
3 minScrape away remaining glue and glass fragments from the inner bezel frame. Wipe the ledge with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to ensure proper bonding.

2 minApply a thin, continuous line of B-7000 frame adhesive along the recessed perimeter of the inner bezel frame.

2 minAlign the replacement screen assembly squarely into the frame perimeter. Press gently around the edges to secure the panel into the glue.

Reconnect Display and Battery Cables

Reinstall the Upper Shield
