   Power off the Moto G100

   Press and hold the power button on the side of the device. Tap Power Off on the screen and wait for the device to shut down completely.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the back panel edges

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive securing the panel.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Gently pull upward on the suction ring to create a slight gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup.

   Slice the back panel adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four sides of the rear cover to separate the adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick encounters heavy resistance.

   Lift away the back cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis and set it aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the plastic loudspeaker assembly cover at the bottom of the phone.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard cover

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield to gain access to the battery connector.

    Remove the upper shield

    Use a spudger to gently lift and remove the upper motherboard cover from the phone frame.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard using the flat end of a plastic spudger to cut power.

    Remove the old loudspeaker module

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the lower speaker assembly and pry it up from the phone body.

    Clean the spring contact pads

    Inspect the gold contact pads on the sub-board beneath the speaker. Wipe them clean with a cotton swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Position the new loudspeaker

    Place the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the frame and press it down until it sits flush.

    Reconnect the battery

    Align the battery press connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it clicks into place.

    Reinstall the upper frame cover

    Place the upper motherboard shield back into position and secure it with its original Phillips screws.

    Secure the lower speaker cover

    Place the lower housing cover over the loudspeaker and reinsert all Phillips screws tightly.

    Apply back panel adhesive

    Clean remaining glue off the perimeter frame with alcohol, then apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the edges.

    Reattach the rear panel

    Align the rear panel with the phone frame and press firmly around all edges to secure the adhesive bond.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush with the exterior frame.
