   Turn Off the Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the tray on the left edge. Press firmly to eject the tray and set it aside.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heat gun or heated pad to the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear cover. Pull up gently to create a slight gap between the glass panel and the frame.

   Insert an Opening Pick

   Insert the tip of an opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup at the bottom edge.

   Slice the Rear Cover Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back panel to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Remove the Rear Glass

   Gently lift the rear glass off the phone chassis and set it on a clean workspace.

   Unscrew the Lower Speaker Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly.

   Pry Up the Speaker Assembly

   Insert a plastic spudger underneath the edge of the loudspeaker module and lever it upward.

    Lift the loudspeaker housing completely out of the phone body to reveal the sub-board beneath.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Use the edge of a spudger to pop the main interconnect flex cable straight up off its sub-board socket.

    Disconnect the White Antenna Cable

    Use precision tweezers to carefully lift the white coaxial antenna connector off the charging port board.

    Disconnect the Black Antenna Cable

    Unclip the black coaxial antenna connector from the opposite corner of the sub-board using tweezers.

    Pry Up the Charging Port Sub-Board

    Slide a thin pick under the edge of the charging port board to separate it from the underlying adhesive.

    Remove the Faulty Charging Port Board

    Lift the damaged charging port sub-board out of the lower chassis cavity.

    Align the New Charging Port Board

    Place the replacement charging port sub-board into position over the lower frame recess.

    Press the New Board into Place

    Apply gentle downward pressure to sit the replacement sub-board flat against the phone frame.

    Reconnect the Black Antenna Cable

    Align the black coaxial antenna cable header over its socket and press down until it snaps securely.

    Reconnect the White Antenna Cable

    Snap the white coaxial antenna cable connector back onto its corresponding terminal on the new board.

    Reattach the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Align the main flex cable connector over the sub-board port and press firmly until it clicks.

    Position the Lower Speaker Assembly

    Lower the loudspeaker housing back into place over the charging port sub-board.

    Reinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to secure the speaker module.

    Clean the Rear Frame Adhesive

    Dampen a lint-free cloth with isopropyl alcohol and clear away old adhesive residue from the perimeter frame.

    Apply New Rear Cover Adhesive

    Position custom pre-cut adhesive strips along the edges of the rear housing frame.

    Press the Rear Glass onto the Frame

    Align the back cover onto the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive seal.

    Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
