Power Down Phone

2 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor press connector straight up from the motherboard.

Separate Rear Cover
1 minLift the rear cover completely off the phone body and set it aside in a safe location.

Remove Lower Speaker Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the bottom loudspeaker module cover.

Pry Up Speaker Housing
2 minInsert the edge of a plastic spudger beneath the lower speaker housing and gently pry it upward to unclip it.

Remove Old Speaker Module
1 minLift the loudspeaker module out of the lower recessed cavity of the phone chassis.

Install New Speaker Module
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module with the recess at the bottom of the phone and press it firmly into place.

Secure Speaker Housing
3 minReinstall the Phillips #00 screws into the bottom speaker module housing and tighten until snug.

Reconnect Fingerprint Sensor Cable
2 minPosition the rear cover close to the phone and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector into its motherboard socket until it clicks.

Reinstall Motherboard Bracket
3 minPlace the top motherboard bracket back into position and secure it with its original Phillips #00 screws.

Snap Rear Cover On
2 minAlign the rear cover with the phone body and press firmly around the edges until all plastic clips snap securely into place.

Reinsert SIM Tray
1 minSlide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush with the frame.
