   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and set it aside.

   Heat the rear panel

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to warm the back cover perimeter for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the panel.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull upward gently to create a small gap between the housing and cover.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice through the rear adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along all four edges of the phone to separate the glue. Reapply heat if the adhesive cools down and resists.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear panel away from the chassis. Set the back cover safely aside in a clean area.

   Unscrew the upper midframe cover

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the protective motherboard shield. Keep track of each screw position.

   Detach the midframe panel

   Insert a flat spudger under the plastic midframe edge and gently pop it off the frame. Remove the shield to access the motherboard.

    Disconnect the battery connector

    Use the flat edge of a plastic spudger to snap the battery press connector straight up off the logic board socket. Never use metal tools on live battery connectors.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol

    Dispense a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges. Allow it to soak for one minute to dissolve the adhesive underneath.

    Pull the adhesive pull-tabs

    Locate the battery adhesive pull-tabs and slowly pull them out at a low angle. Keep constant, steady pressure to avoid breaking the strips.

    Pry out the old battery

    Insert a wide plastic card or flat spudger under the battery to gently lift it free. Ensure you do not bend or puncture the battery cell.

    Install new battery adhesive

    Apply fresh pre-cut battery adhesive strips to the floor of the phone frame. Smooth out any air bubbles with your fingers.

    Set the replacement battery

    Position the new battery into the housing and press down firmly to secure it to the adhesive. Ensure the flex cable aligns naturally with its socket.

    Connect the new battery cable

    Align the battery flex connector over its socket and press down until it snaps cleanly into place. Do not force the connector if misaligned.

    Reinstall the midframe shield

    Place the plastic midframe cover over the motherboard and press around the edges until it snaps into position. Reinstall all Phillips screws tightly.

    Reseal and attach the back cover

    Apply fresh adhesive tape along the frame edge, align the back cover, and press firmly along the perimeter. Reinsert the SIM tray to complete the repair.
