   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole beside the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone. Press firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the back cover

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to warm the back cover edges for approximately 2 minutes. Heating softens the adhesive holding the rear panel in place.

   Apply a suction cup

   Attach a suction cup to the lower section of the rear panel near the charging port. Pull up gently to create a slight gap between the cover and midframe.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Avoid inserting the pick deeper than 3 millimeters to protect internal flex cables.

   Slice the back cover adhesive

   Slide the pick around all edges of the rear panel to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Lift the rear panel away from the chassis once fully detached.

   Unscrew the top motherboard cover

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard shield to the frame. Keep these screws organized for reassembly.

   Remove the motherboard shield

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the plastic motherboard cover and gently pry it up. Lift the shield off the phone and place it aside.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry the battery press-connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. Always disconnect power first to prevent electrical damage.

   Disconnect the display flex cable

   Locate the main display ribbon cable on the motherboard. Pry the connector up off the board gently using a flat plastic opening tool.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker module

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device. Store these screws in a safe location.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Pry up the edges of the speaker module with a spudger and lift it out of the phone chassis.

    Heat the front screen assembly

    Apply even heat across the outer edges of the glass screen using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes. Ensure the glass is warm to the touch.

    Attach a suction cup to the screen

    Place a suction cup onto the bottom edge of the display glass. Pull upwards on the ring to separate the glass slightly from the frame.

    Insert a pick under the display glass

    Push an opening pick beneath the glass edge near the bottom port. Do not push the pick in too deep to avoid damaging the inner frame lip.

    Slice through the display adhesive

    Guide the pick around all four sides of the display to separate the screen from the housing. Reapply heat if the adhesive becomes tough to slice.

    Remove the old screen assembly

    Tilt the screen up gently while guiding the display flex cable through the slot in the midframe. Lift the old screen clear of the phone.

    Clean adhesive residue from frame

    Scrape away remaining glue shards from the frame rim using tweezers. Wipe the contact surfaces with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth.

    Apply pre-cut display adhesive

    Align and stick pre-cut screen adhesive strips around the inner perimeter lip of the midframe. Press down firmly to stick the adhesive tape.

    Route and set the replacement screen

    Thread the flex cable of the new display panel through the frame opening. Align the glass evenly with the housing and lower it gently into place.

    Reconnect the screen flex cable

    Align the screen ribbon connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down lightly until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect the battery

    Press the battery cable press-connector firmly back into its motherboard socket.

    Reinstall internal covers

    Position the lower loudspeaker module and top motherboard shield into their respective locations. Secure them using the Phillips #00 screws.

    Reattach the back cover

    Apply fresh rear adhesive tape to the back cover edges. Align the rear cover with the midframe and press firmly along all sides to seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray
