   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before beginning.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then pull it out completely.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the panel.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull up gently to create a gap between the cover and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Keep the pick shallow to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick along all four edges of the phone to cut through the adhesive seal. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the rear panel off the housing and set it aside. Clean away leftover adhesive residue from the perimeter of the phone frame.

   Unscrew the speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the bottom speaker cover. Organize the screws in a tray for reassembly.

   Remove the speaker housing

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the speaker module. Pry gently upward to release the clips and remove the housing.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Locate the battery flex cable connector on the motherboard. Pry it straight up with a spudger to cut power to the device.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Pry up the interconnect flex cable connector attached to the lower sub-board using a spudger. Bend the flex cable back slightly.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Grasp the antenna coaxial head with precision tweezers. Lift straight up to pop the connector off its socket on the daughterboard.

    Remove the sub-board screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips screw securing the sub-board to the device chassis. Place the screw safely aside.

    Pry out the charging port board

    Slide a spudger underneath the edge of the sub-board. Lift it upward gently to free it from the bottom frame recess.

    Position the new daughterboard

    Place the new charging port sub-board into the lower frame cavity. Press down gently until it sits completely flush.

    Secure the sub-board screw

    Reinsert and tighten the single Phillips screw to anchor the new sub-board into place.

    Reconnect the antenna cable

    Align the antenna cable connector over its socket on the new sub-board. Press straight down until it snaps securely into position.

    Reconnect the main flex cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable connector above the sub-board port. Press down firmly until you feel it click into place.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the battery press connector over its socket on the mainboard. Press firmly to reconnect internal power.

    Reinstall the speaker housing

    Set the lower speaker housing over the sub-board assembly. Press down along the edges to snap the plastic clips into place.

    Fasten the speaker screws

    Drive all Phillips screws back into the speaker assembly until snug. Avoid overtightening to prevent damaging plastic threads.

    Reattach the rear panel

    Apply pre-cut adhesive or glue around the frame border. Press the rear cover firmly onto the frame to seal the device.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left edge of the phone until flush with the frame.
