Step-by-step

Power Off the Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before continuing.

Remove the Stylus and SIM Tray
1 minPush to eject the stylus and pull it out of its slot. Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge to remove the SIM/SD tray.

Heat the Rear Cover

Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables
1 minUse tweezers to gently unsnap the white and black antenna connectors from the lower daughterboard.

Remove the Microphone Daughterboard
2 minPry carefully beneath the sub-board containing the primary microphone to release it from the adhesive underneath.

Install the New Microphone Daughterboard
2 minAlign the replacement daughterboard into the lower housing recess and press gently until it sits flat.

Reattach Cables and Loudspeaker
3 minSnap the antenna and flex cables back onto the board, place the loudspeaker housing, and tighten the Phillips screws.
