   Power Down Device

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully powered down before continuing.

   Remove SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole next to the tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Heat Rear Panel

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer to the edges of the back cover for two minutes on medium heat. Keep the heat source moving constantly to prevent localized heat damage.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup handle onto the lower section of the back cover. Ensure a tight seal against the glass surface.

   Create Gap and Insert Pick

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup handle to form a small seam between the back cover and frame. Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges of the phone to cut the adhesive. Insert the pick no deeper than 3 mm to avoid striking internal flex ribbons.

   Lift Off Rear Panel

   Gently lift the rear cover clear of the chassis. Place the cover face-down on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Midframe Fasteners

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all visible screws holding the upper midframe shield. Group the screws together so they remain organized.

   Pry Off Midframe Shield

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the edge of the midframe shield. Gently pry upward around the outer tabs to snap it free from the phone frame.

    Disconnect Battery Connector

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard terminal using a plastic spudger. Disconnecting the battery cuts power and prevents electrical short circuits.

    Unhook Interconnect Cables

    Disconnect the display and mainboard interconnect flex cables overlying the battery using the spudger. Carefully bend the cables out of the way.

    Pull Battery Stretch Tabs

    Grasp the black adhesive pull-tabs located at the edge of the battery using tweezers. Pull each tab outward slowly at a low angle to slide the adhesive strips out from under the battery.

    Pry Out the Battery

    If stubborn glue remains, apply a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol around the battery perimeter. Insert a thin plastic card underneath and gently lever the battery free.

    Clean Battery Cavity

    Dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe the battery housing cavity clean. Ensure all old adhesive residue and dust are fully removed.

    Install Fresh Adhesive Strips

    Peel the protective backing off new battery adhesive strips and lay them flat inside the battery frame. Press down firmly to stick the tape in place.

    Set Replacement Battery

    Align the replacement battery into the frame, ensuring correct orientation relative to the flex cable socket. Press down evenly across the top face of the battery.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Plug the display and mainboard flex cables back into their motherboard terminals. Snap the battery connector straight down into its socket until it clicks.

    Reinstall Midframe and Screws

    Position the upper midframe shield back onto the chassis and press it into place until it snaps flush. Secure the midframe with all original Phillips #000 screws.

    Reseal Rear Panel

    Apply fresh pre-cut adhesive along the rear perimeter frame. Align the back cover accurately over the chassis and press around all edges to form a tight seal.
