   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it.

   Heat the back cover

   Use a heat gun or iOpener around the outer edges of the rear panel for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward gently to create a small gap.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Insert an opening pick into the gap and slowly slide it along all four edges to slice through the rear cover adhesive.

   Lift off the back cover

   Carefully tilt and lift the rear cover off the phone frame once all adhesive is fully sliced.

   Remove the midframe screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding down the lower midframe and speaker cover.

   Pry up the lower speaker bezel

   Insert a spudger under the lip of the lower midframe housing and gently unclip it from the frame.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off the main logic board.

   Remove the old loudspeaker module

   Gently wedge tweezers or a spudger under the original speaker box in the lower housing to lift it out.

    Clean the speaker recess

    Wipe away any debris or leftover adhesive from the speaker cavity using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free swab.

    Set the new loudspeaker in place

    Align the replacement loudspeaker module with the alignment pins in the lower housing and press down lightly.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Align the battery flex connector over its socket and press firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall the lower speaker bezel

    Position the lower speaker cover back over the daughterboard and press along the edges until it clips securely.

    Secure the housing screws

    Reinstall all the Phillips screws into the lower midframe housing until snug.

    Apply new back cover adhesive

    Peel and position pre-cut adhesive strips along the perimeter of the frame or back cover.

    Seal the back cover

    Align the rear panel over the phone and press firmly along all edges to bond the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the side of the device until flush.
