   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone and press firmly to release the tray. Pull the tray out and set it aside.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on medium heat to warm the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup to the back cover

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up gently to create a small gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup.

   Slice the back panel adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive. Apply extra heat if the adhesive hardens.

   Lift away the back cover

   Carefully separate the back cover from the phone body and set it aside.

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic motherboard shield.

    Apply high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the battery edges to loosen the glue, then pry the battery up using a wide plastic card.

    Apply heat evenly across the front screen with a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to break down the display adhesive.

    Insert a pick under the front glass

    Attach a suction cup near the screen bottom, lift to form a small seam, and insert an opening pick under the glass.

    Slice the screen adhesive seam

    Guide the opening pick along the entire screen perimeter to detach the panel from the frame.

    Separate the screen from the frame

    Lift the damaged display away from the frame while guiding the attached ribbon cable through the frame opening.

    Clean the frame rim

    Scrape away remaining glue from the display frame and wipe it down thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

    Lay down double-sided display adhesive strips along the inner rim of the phone frame.

    Install the replacement display

    Feed the display flex cable through the slot in the midframe and align the new screen neatly inside the phone frame.
