   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the card tray on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it completely.

   Heat the Back Panel Edges

   Apply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer along the perimeter of the back panel for two minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup to Back Cover

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and press down firmly to create a seal.

   Create an Opening Gap

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to lift the back panel slightly, then insert an opening pick into the seam.

   Slice Through Edge Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick carefully around all four edges of the back panel to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Remove the Back Panel

   Lift the back cover straight off the frame and set it aside.

   Unscrew the Upper Midframe

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the plastic motherboard bracket.

   Pry Up the Upper Midframe

   Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the upper midframe shield and gently pry up to unclip it.

   Remove the Upper Midframe Cover

   Lift the upper midframe shield away from the phone body and store it safely.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

    Disconnect the Power Button Flex Cable

    Locate the power button flex connector on the edge of the motherboard and disconnect it using your spudger.

    Free the Power Button Flex Assembly

    Use fine tweezers to gently peel the flexible power button ribbon cable away from the internal side frame.

    Remove the Damaged Power Button Assembly

    Lift the power button flex cable assembly out of the phone chassis completely.

    Install the New Power Button Flex Cable

    Position the replacement power button flex cable in the side recess and press it lightly against the frame adhesive.

    Connect the Power Button Ribbon

    Align and press the power button flex connector down onto the motherboard until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect the Battery

    Press the battery connector straight down into its socket on the motherboard until it snaps firmly.

    Reattach the Upper Midframe Cover

    Set the motherboard cover back into position, snap the perimeter clips into place, and reinstall the screws.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Clean away residual adhesive with isopropyl alcohol, then apply new pre-cut adhesive along the back edges of the frame.

    Reseal the Back Panel

    Align the back cover over the chassis and press firmly around all edges to secure the seal.
