   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

   Remove the built-in stylus

   Press the stylus top to unlock it, then slide the stylus completely out of its silo.

   Heat the rear glass back cover

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the rear cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Slice through the back cover adhesive

   Attach a suction cup to the lower back cover and pull up to create a gap. Insert an opening pick into the seam and slide along all edges to cut the adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the rear cover off the chassis and clear away any loose adhesive strips.

   Unscrew the upper motherboard shield

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper plastic midframe and camera bracket assembly.

   Remove the upper midframe shield

   Pry up the edges of the upper motherboard shield using a plastic spudger and lift it off the frame.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to snap the battery press connector straight up from the logic board to kill power.

   Disconnect the display and interconnect flex cables

   Lever up the display flex connector and main interconnect flex connector from their sockets on the motherboard using a spudger.

    Disconnect front and rear cameras

    Gently detach the camera flex cables from the logic board using plastic tweezers or a spudger, then set the cameras aside.

    Unplug the antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers to gently lift the antenna cable connectors straight up from the motherboard ports.

    Unscrew the logic board retaining screws

    Remove the remaining Phillips screws anchoring the logic board to the inner aluminum chassis.

    Lift out the logic board

    Insert a spudger under the bottom edge of the logic board and gently pry it out of the phone body.

    Position the new logic board

    Place the replacement logic board into the top cavity of the phone, making sure no flex cables are trapped underneath.

    Secure the motherboard and reconnect flex cables

    Reinstall the motherboard retaining screws, then press the camera, display, interconnect, and antenna cables back into their respective sockets.
