Step-by-step

Eject the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the top left edge. Push firmly to pop the tray out and remove it.

Remove the built-in stylus
1 minPress the stylus top to unlock it, then slide the stylus completely out of its silo.

Heat the rear glass back cover
3 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the rear cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

Disconnect front and rear cameras
2 minGently detach the camera flex cables from the logic board using plastic tweezers or a spudger, then set the cameras aside.

Unplug the antenna coaxial cables
2 minUse fine tweezers to gently lift the antenna cable connectors straight up from the motherboard ports.

Unscrew the logic board retaining screws
2 minRemove the remaining Phillips screws anchoring the logic board to the inner aluminum chassis.

Lift out the logic board
