   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the device. Press inward firmly to eject the tray, then slide it out completely.

   Heat the rear cover edges

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the back cover using a heat gun for approximately two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the plastic panel.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear cover and pull upward gently to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam opened by the suction cup along the bottom edge.

   Slice the rear panel adhesive

   Move the opening pick carefully along all four sides of the phone to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

   Lift away the rear cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis and place it aside.

   Unscrew the lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker bracket over the sub-board.

   Remove the speaker housing

   Insert a spudger under the speaker module and lift it out of the phone frame.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Pry the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger to disconnect power.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the bottom sub-board.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers to gently unclip the black and white antenna cable connectors from the sub-board.

    Remove the sub-board retaining screw

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the charging port sub-board to the frame.

    Remove the old charging port board

    Pry carefully beneath the sub-board with a spudger to lift it out of the lower recessed housing.

    Position the new charging port board

    Set the replacement charging port sub-board into the frame alignment recess.

    Secure the sub-board screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips #000 retaining screw to fix the new sub-board into place.

    Reconnect the antenna cables

    Align the antenna cable heads over their matching sub-board terminals and snap them into place.

    Reconnect the main flex cable

    Press the interconnect flex cable connector onto the bottom sub-board socket until it snaps securely.

    Reconnect the battery press connector

    Snap the battery flex cable back into its corresponding socket on the mainboard.

    Reinstall the lower speaker housing

    Place the loudspeaker cover back over the sub-board and tighten all saved Phillips screws.

    Apply new adhesive strips along the phone border, align the rear cover, and press firmly along the perimeter.
