   Remove the SIM tray and stylus

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left side of the phone to remove the SIM tray, then press and slide out the integrated stylus.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer perimeter of the back panel for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup to the rear panel

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear plastic back cover to create a secure grip point.

   Create a gap with a prying pick

   Pull up gently on the suction cup and slide a plastic opening pick under the seam between the back cover and frame.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four edges of the phone to slice through the perimeter adhesive tape.

   Tilt open the rear panel

   Slightly lift the right edge of the rear panel, keeping in mind that the fingerprint reader cable is still connected inside.

   Unscrew the fingerprint sensor bracket

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the metal shield over the fingerprint cable connector.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the fingerprint reader press connector straight up from the motherboard socket.

   Remove the back cover completely

   Lift the rear plastic cover clear off the chassis and set it aside in a safe location.

    Unscrew the lower speaker housing

    Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic speaker cover assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Pry up the loudspeaker module

    Insert a flat plastic spudger under the notch of the lower loudspeaker module and pop it out of the frame housing.

    Clean the speaker seating recess

    Use tweezers and isopropyl alcohol to clear away any leftover adhesive or debris from the speaker housing cavity.

    Install the new loudspeaker module

    Align the replacement loudspeaker module over the lower phone frame and press it down until it snaps flush into place.

    Reinstall the speaker housing screws

    Drive the seven Phillips #00 screws back into the lower speaker housing until secure, avoiding overtightening.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

    Align the fingerprint sensor flex connector over its motherboard socket and press down gently until it clicks into position.

    Reattach the sensor connector bracket

    Place the metal protective shield back over the fingerprint cable connection and replace the single Phillips screw.

    Reapply adhesive and secure the back cover

    Apply fresh back cover adhesive strips, press the back cover firmly onto the frame, and reinsert the SIM tray and stylus.
