   Power Off Phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Remove SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it from the device.

   Heat Back Cover

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the internal adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Pull gently up on the suction cup to create a small gap.

   Insert Plastic Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Slide the pick around the perimeter to slice through the adhesive.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Reader

   Slightly lift the rear cover to access the fingerprint sensor flex cable. Use a spudger to gently pop the connector off the motherboard before removing the cover completely.

   Remove Speaker Housing Screws

   Locate the Phillips #000 screws securing the lower speaker assembly and sub-board cover. Remove all screws and keep them organized.

   Pry Out Speaker Housing

   Insert a plastic spudger under the edge of the speaker housing. Carefully pry up and lift the housing out of the phone frame.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Use a plastic spudger to lift the battery connector straight up from its socket. Disconnecting the power prevents electrical short circuits during repair.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Flex Cable

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the bottom sub-board.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables

    Use fine tweezers to gently unclip the white and black antenna coaxial cables from the sub-board.

    Remove Sub-Board

    Gently insert a flat spudger underneath the sub-board containing the primary microphone module. Pry up carefully to release it from the chassis.

    Install New Sub-Board

    Align the new sub-board equipped with the replacement microphone into the lower housing recess. Press gently until it sits flush.

    Reconnect Antenna Cables

    Carefully snap the white and black antenna coaxial cable connectors onto their respective terminals on the sub-board using tweezers.

    Reconnect Interconnect Cable

    Align the interconnect flex cable over the sub-board socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Press the battery flex connector straight down into its motherboard terminal to restore power connection.

    Secure Speaker Housing

    Place the speaker housing back over the sub-board area. Reinstall and tighten all Phillips #000 screws firmly.

    Attach Rear Cover

    Reconnect the fingerprint reader cable, apply new adhesive to the edges, and press the rear cover firmly back onto the chassis.
