Step-by-step

Eject SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

Heat the back cover edges
2 minApply heat to the outer perimeter of the back cover for two minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive.

Slice through back cover adhesive
4 minAttach a suction cup near the bottom edge and pull upward to create a gap. Insert an opening pick and slice along the edges to free the rear panel.

Lift and remove back cover

Transfer the microphone rubber gasket
2 minUse tweezers to peel the small rubber microphone acoustic sleeve off the old board and seat it firmly onto the new microphone board.

Install the new microphone board
2 minAlign the replacement daughterboard into the bottom chassis recess and press gently into place.

Reconnect antenna and interconnect cables
3 minSnap the coaxial antenna head onto the terminal and press the main interconnect flex cable back onto its sub-board socket.

Reconnect battery and reattach speaker
3 minSnap the battery connector back into place, position the speaker module over the sub-board, and secure all Phillips screws.
