   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

   Eject SIM tray and remove stylus

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the SIM tray hole on the left edge to pop out the tray. Push in and release the stylus to slide it out from the bottom corner.

   Heat the back cover edges

   Apply heat around the edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun or hair dryer for 2 minutes to soften the frame adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel, just above the charging port.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert a plastic opening pick. Slide the pick along all four edges to slice through the adhesive.

   Lift back cover carefully

   Gently lift the back cover off the chassis from the right side, opening it like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet, as flex cables remain connected.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop off the fingerprint reader flex cable connector from the motherboard shield.

   Remove rear cover completely

   Lift the rear cover away from the device and set it aside on a clean workspace mat.

   Unscrew lower speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the bottom speaker speaker assembly in place.

    Remove lower speaker housing

    Insert a spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and gently lever it up to release it from the frame.

    Disconnect main flex cable from sub-board

    Use a spudger to disconnect the lower end of the main interconnect flex cable from the charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use fine tweezers to carefully pry up the white and black antenna cable heads straight up from their sub-board sockets.

    Remove sub-board retaining screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the charging port sub-board to the frame.

    Pry up damaged sub-board

    Insert a flat plastic tool under the charging port sub-board and lift it out of its recess in the chassis.

    Insert new charging port sub-board

    Align the new sub-board over the bottom chassis compartment and press it flat into place.

    Secure sub-board retaining screw

    Reinstall and tighten the Phillips #00 screw to lock the sub-board down.

    Reconnect antenna cables and main flex

    Align and press the antenna cable heads onto their sub-board sockets until they snap in place. Reconnect the main interconnect flex cable connector.

    Reinstall lower speaker housing

    Position the speaker assembly over the sub-board and press down gently until seated. Secure all Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect fingerprint flex and seal back cover

    Snap the fingerprint flex cable onto the board, apply new pre-cut adhesive to the rear frame, and firmly press the back cover into place.
