   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the side of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

   Heat the rear panel

   Apply heat around the edges of the back panel for 1 to 2 minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer. This softens the internal adhesive securing the plastic cover.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear panel. Pull up gently to create a small seam between the cover and the plastic frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Take care not to push the pick in too far to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick along the bottom, sides, and top edges to release the plastic clips and adhesive holding the back cover.

   Lift the rear cover slightly

   Gently swing open the back cover from the right side like a book cover. Do not completely remove the panel yet, as the fingerprint sensor remains connected.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable straight up from its motherboard socket. Set the rear panel aside.

   Remove the lower housing screws

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove all screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing cover.

    Pry up the speaker housing

    Insert the flat end of a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker housing. Gently leverage the housing upward to unclip it from the frame.

    Remove the damaged loudspeaker

    Lift the old loudspeaker assembly out of the lower cavity of the phone and remove it.

    Install the new loudspeaker

    Align the new loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the frame. Press down gently until it sits flat in position.

    Secure the lower housing screws

    Replace the lower housing cover and reinstall the Phillips #000 screws until snug.

    Reconnect the fingerprint sensor

    Position the rear cover near the frame and press the fingerprint sensor flex connector into its socket until it clicks.

    Reattach the rear panel

    Align the rear panel with the phone frame and press firmly along the perimeter to re-engage the plastic clips and adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM tray back into its slot on the side of the phone until it sits flush against the frame.
