Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left edge of the phone to remove it.

Heat Rear Panel Edges
2 minUse a heat gun or iOpener around the perimeter of the back cover for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

2 minUse tweezers to carefully pry up and disconnect the white coaxial antenna cable from the daughterboard.

Remove Faulty Daughterboard
2 minInsert a plastic opening tool under the daughterboard containing the microphone and carefully pry it out from the frame.

Clean Microphone Port
2 minInspect the microphone channel in the frame and clear any dust or debris using isopropyl alcohol and a small swab.

Position New Daughterboard
2 minAlign the replacement daughterboard with its acoustic rubber boot and drop it into the bottom frame cavity.

Reconnect Antenna Cable
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna head over its socket on the new daughterboard and gently press down until it snaps into place.

Attach Main Interconnect Cable
1 minAlign the main flex connector over the daughterboard socket and press firmly until you feel a click.

Reinstall Speaker Module
2 minSet the lower speaker module back into place over the daughterboard and press down gently.

3 minTighten the Phillips #00 screws back into the speaker module to secure the lower components.
